The 2027 SFMA Conference & Exhibition will be held at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida. The convention center is located along the Riverwalk in the heart of downtown Tampa.

The conference will take place February 1–4, 2027.

All conference activities will take place in Eastern Time, local to Tampa, Florida..

The SFMA Conference & Exhibition is designed for sports field managers, facility professionals, municipal and parks professionals, educators, students, commercial partners, vendors, and allied industry professionals. SFMA describes the annual conference as an opportunity for members to share information, attend education, participate in hands-on workshops, explore new technology, and tour professional, college, and municipal facilities.

Attendees can expect education sessions, hands-on workshops, networking opportunities, facility tours, the trade show/exhibition, and opportunities to connect with sports field management professionals from across the industry.

SFMA has updated its hotel reservation process so that hotel booking links are provided after conference registration is completed. Once attendees register, they receive access to the official hotel booking links through their confirmation email. This helps keep the official hotel block reserved for registered attendees and exhibitor booth staff.

Yes. Hotel rooms in the SFMA block are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so attendees are encouraged to register early to access hotel information and secure preferred accommodations.

Based on SFMA’s updated process, hotel booking links are provided after registration is complete. Only registered attendees have access to the discounted conference hotel block.

SFMA lists Tampa International Airport (TPA) as the primary airport for the 2027 conference. TPA is approximately 6–8 miles, or about 16 minutes, from downtown Tampa. SFMA also lists St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) as another option, located approximately 15 miles from the Tampa Convention Center.

Uber, Lyft, taxis, and rental cars are available, rideshare fares from Tampa International Airport to downtown Tampa generally range from $25–$40, depending on traffic and demand, and a $5.00 service fee will be added to the fare.
