Assistant Groundskeeper – Lower.com Field – Columbus Crew

Want to learn and have fun in a high-end sports environment? The Columbus Crew is looking for a motivated candidate with a strong work ethic and attention to detail, to join the staff as an Assistant Groundskeeper. Based out of Lower.com Field, this role will assist in maintaining the natural grass stadium field and help as needed at the Ohio Health Performance Center, as well as the synthetic turf of Historic Crew Stadium.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in grounds operations at Lower.com Field, Historic Crew Stadium, and Training Center
- Assist in day-to-day operations for first team, Crew 2, and academy trainings
- Assist in hosting matches and events at Historic Crew Stadium and Lower.com Field
- Assist in training part time staff on all maintenance practices and equipment use
Experience
- Degree in Turf related field or comparable experience preferred
- Previous experience or working knowledge of professional sports turf standards
- Previous use of turf maintenance equipment/machinery
Knowledge or willingness to learn
- Irrigation
- Turf disease Identification
- General knowledge of fertilizers
This position will have the opportunity:
