Parks & Facilities Maintenance Coordinator

The City of Peoria Parks and Recreation Department has an excellent opportunity for a Parks and Facilities Maintenance Coordinator. The purpose of this position is to coordinate and oversee daily maintenance of the City’s three community pools, 36 neighborhood parks, three community parks, and Peoria Sports Complex, while also providing direct support for the Department’s Facilities Services division. The Parks and Facilities Maintenance Coordinator oversees full-time staff.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Experience in a municipal or government setting.
  • Previous supervisory experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school graduation or equivalency.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of moderate previous experience required in the same or similar previous positions.
  • Three (3) years facilities experience, including plumbing, lighting and HVAC knowledge
  • Attainment of Certified Pool Operator (CPO) and Chlorine Safe Handling Certifications within 6 months of hire.
  • Physical stamina and endurance in addition to having the ability to lift between 10 and 25 pounds.
  • A valid drivers’ license is required upon hire.
