FC Dallas is hiring for a full-time Assistant Turf Manager at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, TX. Under the supervision of the Director of Stadium Grounds, this position will assist in turf management duties for the stadium and training fields.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead crew in the day-to-day turf management practices associated with maintaining professional sports field.
• Assist Director of Grounds in creating yearly plan for maintenance, fertility, and budget.
• Assist in stadium field event set up: soccer matches, concerts, football games.
• Assist in painting multiple athletic fields throughout playing season: soccer, high school/college football and logos.
• Use of grow lights and growth blankets in fall/winter months.
• Irrigation management and repair.
• Hire and schedule gameday staff according to events.
• Communicate with coaches about training and field needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-year degree from accredited turf management school.
• 1 or more years’ experience in sports field management.
• Experience leading 2+ employees.
• Able to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work in extreme heat and cold.
• Experience operating turf management equipment.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Strong communication skills both written and oral.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Texas Noncommercial Pesticide Applicators License
