Assistant Turf Manager – Job ID 58579

Department of Athletics – Facilities and Grounds

  • Responsible for assisting the Assistant Athletic Director/Turf Superintendent with the planning, coordination and execution of annual and daily programming and staffing of the athletic department owned and operated fields and courts.
  • Responsible for the day to day maintenance of specific Athletics field(s) and the associated spaces.
  • Provides guidance and direction to the staff involved in turf grass services and programs which may include maintenance, building and grounds, skilled trades, custodial or OPS staff.
  • Responsible for implementation of program goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Work with coaches to develop turf management schedule that meets best practice standards and minimizes conflicts with scheduled events.
  • Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent and experience equal to eight years.(Note: post-high school education may substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
