Fall 2024 Seasonal Groundskeeper
The Pittsburgh Steelers and PSSI Stadium LLC are seeking Sports Turf Interns for the 2024 season. Interns will be involved in all aspects of playing surface management with the Steelers. Facilities include Acrisure Stadium, UPMC Rooney Practice Complex, and St. Vincent College Training Camp. Applicants will have the opportunity to be apart of one of the NFL’s most prestigious and storied franchises.
The Pittsburgh Steelers offer an unmatched experience and great opportunity to learn all aspects of NFL and NCAA Division 1 football field management. All surfaces are sand based Kentucky Bluegrass fields. Interns will gain hands on experience with NFL and NCAA football games, offseason training activities, training camp, concerts and other event operations. Duties will include but are not limited to mowing, painting, sodding, topdressing, aerating, painting, field layout, trimming and pruning.
Requirements – This internship is open to anyone looking to gain experience in the sports turf industry. Candidates must have a desire to learn and strong work ethic. Candidates with and without turf experience will benefit from this internship.
Start/End – Internship positions have flexible start and end dates. A minimum of 3 months is required. Full season internships are available.
Compensation – Hourly wage. 40 hours per week with overtime. Meals, uniforms, and assistance with finding housing provided.
