The San Antonio Missions, Double-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, are searching for a highly motivated, hardworking individual to join our 2025 Grounds Crew. This position, Seasonal/Intern Assistant Groundskeeper, is running from April to end of September. This position would report to the Head Groundskeeper and would work on the game day crew and non-gameday events/days. This position is ideal for someone working on their turf management degree or looking to enter the turf management industry.

Duties:

• Maintain pitching mound, home plate area, and bullpens
• Field repair maintenance
• Clean dugouts, bullpens, and field
• Set up and tear down batting practice
• Pre-game setup/post-game repairs
• Assist in mowing, fertilizing, edging, aerating, etc.
• Assist in tarp pulls
• Extra third-party events
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Baseball grounds experience preferred, but not required
• Must be able to work long hours
• Must be able to work during days, nights and weekends
• Work in various weather conditions
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to operate utility equipment
