Job Summary
Join SSC Services for Education as a Senior Grounds Project Manager and become an integral part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering unparalleled client service and innovative grounds management to K-12 and Higher Education accounts. In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to lead and craft the future of grounds management with a growing organization. Your expertise and vision will drive excellence, sustainability, and aesthetic appeal across educational campuses, fostering environments where students can excel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement and coordinate management programs, policies, procedures, and compliance systems for existing client sites and new startups, ensuring adherence to SSC standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive grounds site assessments, identify deficiencies, build effective corrective plans, and lead their successful implementation.
  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) Assessments and Safety Audits at contracted locations to maintain the highest level of service.
  • Build and maintain project timelines and budgets, controlling expenditures, and providing regular status reports.
  • Coordinate or prepare reports and quality assurance documentation, to meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Assign and coordinate special project personnel, providing vital training and technical expertise to ensure execution.
  • Review and approve project changes, provide timely status reports, and act as the owner’s representative when required during renovation and construction projects.
  • Collaborate with clients regularly to ensure all customer needs are met to their utmost happiness.
  • Perform temporary duties of Unit Director or Operations Manager as assigned, and undertake other tasks as the need arises to support the team and company goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in grounds related field or 10 years of grounds management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Solid ability to define and implement change strategies
  • Able to manage multiple projects at a time with sharp organizational skills
  • Maintain a safe driving record, obey all applicable traffic laws
  • Must be willing to travel 85% of the time working in various regions of the country.
