This is a dual internship that is split between the Toledo Mud Hens and Sylvania Recreation. You will spend the summer working two week intervals between the two organizations. This internship offers the unique opportunity to learn different aspects of managing and maintaining, not only a detailed professional stadium, but also a well maintained recreational sports complex, thus experiencing two internships in one.

Requirements Include:

• Must be enrolled in a two or four year turf program or related field
• Be able to lift 60 lbs. with ease
• Able to work holidays, nights, weekends and long hours
• Ability to operate turf equipment
• Highly motivated with excellent communication skills

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Repairing mound and home plate areas
• Assisting with infield skin maintenance
• Spray and fertilization applications
• Sodding, aerating, topdressing and other turf practices
• GPS robot field painting and operation of software
• Working events, games, and tournaments
• General facility maintenance

No prior experience is needed

Start date is flexible to when school is out for the summer.
