Performs skilled manual work in the construction, repair, maintenance, and preparation of athletic facilities with a primary focus on Cricket facilities. This is a specialty position for the Town, and it will serve as the Town’s most knowledgeable position on how best to effectively manage a cricket block throughout the entire year to include sequence of work tasks and the timing in which they shall be completed. Work in this class requires providing leadership to others, performing work duties at a higher skill level and with greater independence, great attention to detail regarding the specifics of athletic field preparation, the ability to lead a crew in the independent preparation of fields.
This position’s primary responsibility will be related to maintenance and coordination of Church Street Park and the cricket operations. This position will coordinate with community cricket organizations and other departments regarding cricket events. It will also serve as the lead maintenance worker in the Athletics Division and serve as the supervisor in their absence. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Athletic Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
