Tuckahoe Turf Farms is looking for a qualified applicant to fit the position of Manager of Cool Season Sports Turf. Applicants primary role will be as followed:

• Inspect fields on a daily basis to determine conditions needed for irrigation, mowing, cultural practices, fertilization and weed control.
• Evaluate day weather and soil conditions in accordance to harvesting pans and farm procedures.
• Operate farm equipment that will include: mowers, tractors, trucks, implements. carts, and forklifts.
• Assist with field renovation and restoration, new field development and seeding.
• Maintain equipment and supplies in a neat orderly fashion.
• Track and measure progress, communicate with director regarding growing progress, harvesting issues and/or equipment issues.

Skills

Must include working flexible hours which may include but not limited to weekends, nights, and holidays. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions as well as lift 50+lb.

Experience/Education

Must include degree in Turf Grass Science or equivalent combination of knowledge and education, experience operating farm vehicles, ability to obtain Nj Pesticides License within 6 months, and  mathematical skills.

Compensation/Benefits

• $50-$65,000 Based on Experience. Full time/year round Salary
