Turf Management Internship
This internship provides compensation and the opportunity to learn the techniques and management skills necessary for maintaining unique playing surfaces for a professional football team. From April/May through the football season. Intern will be required to work 40 hours per week, plus some weekends and evenings.
Interested candidates will:
- Have a general knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and practices utilized in turf management
- Have experience or familiarity with the operation of turf management equipment
- Be able to work independently or in a team environment
- Be able to take direction from members of the Green Bay Packers turf department on a routine basis
- Be required to regularly lift and/or move 50+ pounds, sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel, and crawl.
- Be exposed to outdoor weather conditions which can include temperature and humidity extremes.
- Be subjected to moderate to loud noise levels and occasional chemical exposure
- Arrange their own transportation and living accommodations
- Provide letters of recommendation from a current or past employer and/or an academic advisor
- Possess a professional and ambitious attitude towards learning and working in turf management
