Summary: Responsible for supervising and performing daily turf maintenance operations for multiple job sites & facilities of natural grass sports fields and common spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Tasks include scheduling and overseeing crews to perform mowing, edging, chemical applications, aerating, verticutting, top-dressing, clay work, painting, and field setup.
- Operate, instruct, repair and maintain turf management equipment.
- Irrigation management and repair.
- Implement fertility, fungicide and pest control programs.
- Proactively anticipate and address issues.
- Work some irregular hours due to game schedules and weather.
- All other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Experience in sports or golf turf management.
- Possess or ability to possess a FL Commercial Pesticide Applicators License.
- Experience operating tractors and other field equipment.
- Ability to work independently and effectively supervise others.
- Possess strong work ethic and good demeanor.
Physical Demands:
- Lift 50lbs throughout a workday.
- Work in various degrees of weather conditions.
- Ability to work in various physical positions like sitting, standing, bending over, kneeling, etc. for extended periods of time.
