The Washington Commanders are seeking qualified individuals to join the Grounds Department. This is a full-time hourly position and answers the Sr. Director of Grounds. This position is based out of Northwest Stadium home of the Washington Commanders located in Prince Georges County Maryland.

The Washington Commanders are a military-friendly organization actively recruiting veterans and spouses.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following

• Assist in field preparation for Commanders games
• Run and Maintain equipment
• Create and implement an equipment maintenance program
• Maintain landscape around facility to highest quality
• Assist in painting multiple types of professional athletic fields
• Assist with execution of large-scale special events such as concerts and international soccer games

Requirements:

• 2-year degree from accredited sports turf program
• Flexibility to work extended hours, including some nights and weekends
• Strong communication skills both written and oral
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to obtain a Maryland pesticide herbicide license within 6 months of employment
• Ability to obtain a Maryland fertilizer applicator license within 6 months of employment
