Congratulations to SFMA member Marc Moran, CSFM and his turfgrass students at Atlee High School for their winning field design with over 500 votes! He has won a complimentary pass to the SFMA’s 2023 Conference and Exhibition in Salt Lake City, UT where his design will be on display. Marc has been the Agriculture/Turf Science teacher at Atlee High School for the past 24 years. He earned his BS in Agricultural Education from Virginia Tech and did his graduate work at Penn State University.
Marc, along with two other teachers, developed Virginia’s first Turf Science Curriculum in 2001. This program has consistently had between 40 and 60 students enrolled with close to 60 enrolled for the current year.
