Conference Travel

Conference Hotel

In previous years, hotel booking links were released before/separately from conference registration. For 2027, hotel links will again only be provided after you complete your conference registration. This change ensures that hotel accommodations are reserved for registered attendees, giving you a smoother and more reliable booking process.

What This Means for You:

  • Once you register for the conference, you will immediately receive access to the official hotel booking links.
  • Hotel rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to register early to secure your preferred accommodations.
  • Only registered attendees will have access to the discounted conference hotel block.

We appreciate your cooperation as we make this transition. This new process will help ensure that our hotel block is reserved exclusively for SFMA members and attendees, providing the best experience possible for everyone.

Travel to Tampa

The 2027 SFMA Conference & Exhibition will be held at the Tampa Convention Center, located along the Riverwalk in the heart of downtown Tampa. Below you’ll find everything you need to plan your trip.

By Air

  • Tampa International Airport (TPA) – Located about 6-8 miles (approx. 16 minutes) from downtown Tampa, Tampa International Airport (TPA) is the premier gateway to the West Coast of Florida, serving approximately 25 million passengers per year with more than 100 nonstop domestic and international destinations.

  • St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) – Approximately 15 miles from the Tampa Convention Center is located across the bay, often used for budget carriers like Allegiant Air.

Ground Transportation

  • Taxis & Rideshares: Uber, Lyft, and taxis are widely available at both airports. Average rideshare fare from TPA to downtown Tampa is about 10–30 minutes and ranges from $25–$40, depending on traffic and demand.  Note: A service fee of $5.00 will be added to the cost of the fare.
