SFMA Mentorship Program
This program, launched in early 2024, has been designed to provide invaluable guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing opportunities for individuals passionate about maintaining and enhancing sports fields.
Our mentorship program aims to connect experienced industry professionals with aspiring sports field managers, groundskeepers, and maintenance personnel. Whether you are just starting your career or looking to further develop your expertise, this program is perfect for you.
Through this mentorship program, mentees will have the opportunity to learn from seasoned experts who have excelled in the field of sports field management. Mentors will provide guidance on various aspects, including turf maintenance, irrigation systems, field design, pest management, and more. They will share their insights, best practices, and real-world experiences to help mentees grow both personally and professionally. As a mentee, you will have the chance to gain hands-on knowledge, receive personalized advice, and expand your network within the sports field management community. To apply to be a part of this exciting program, click here. Our team will carefully match mentees with mentors throughout the year based on shared interests, career aspirations, and availability.
The program utilizes Canvas, which can be downloaded to your device with the Canvas student app, to access the mentorship program modules from anywhere. The Canvas modules are user-friendly and guide participants through monthly activities and check points.
