Field Test Operator

The Toro Company is now hiring a Field Test Operator at our Pompano Beach, FL golf course test location.

Hours: M-F 6:30AM-3PM

Approximate Pay Range: $17-20/hour, Depending on Experience

What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

  • Operates and evaluates prototype, production, and competitive units in field testing. (i.e. walk behind, ride-on (sit and stand-on), hand-held, etc.)
  • Maintain basic log sheet entries on machine performance, report findings and all issues.
  • Supports Field Site Technicians, as needed, with repairs or equipment rework.
  • May be asked to unlock/lock site at beginning/end of day.
  • Must maintain machines as prescribed by Test Plan, e.g. washing daily, checking basic functions, etc.
  • May be required to perform basic maintenance, e.g. oil changes, greasing, safety checks, etc.
  • May be required to drive a vehicle (company owed or personal) to remote site for evaluation of product.
  • May assist in the maintenance of the facilities at the host Test Site.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience to evaluate the products and the requirements of the test sites.
  • Ability to understand and interpret written and oral procedures in English.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Core skills training in basic math and measuring tools.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds repetitively
  • Able to meet requirements of driving company owned vehicle.
  • Ability to drive forklift.
