12 on-demand education sessions added to GIE+EXPO ToGo

Industry members looking for ways to improve efficiency and profitability will find compelling content in 12 free education sessions on GIE+EXPO ToGo. The online portal that has been connecting industry members to the new innovations they would have found at the show, now offers four education tracks – grounds management, landscape contractor, dealer/retailer and hardscape. It can be accessed anytime, anywhere via www.gieexpoToGo.com through the end of 2020.

“This year has presented new opportunities that have pushed the green industry to the limits, in many cases, but also allowed us to emerge better and stronger versions of ourselves,” said Sara Hey of Bob Clements International. “As we look forward to 2021, now is the time to make a plan for how you are going to maintain the momentum of 2020. What better way to reenergize and start the planning process than to engage with some of the training you would have found at GIE+EXPO – the centerpiece of industry education.”

Grounds Management Track

(presented by the Professional Grounds Management Association)

Predictably Human: Developing A Risk Competent Workforce

Joe Estey

Every day, we work in a world of competing priorities and tradeoffs. We ask our employees to eliminate and manage hazards, not to make mistakes and to avoid risk at all costs. This risk averse mindset does not encourage diverse thought, and rigid management styles that center on compliance without thought inevitably lead to tension and a disengaged workforce. Understanding that the greatest asset for the success and longevity of a company is empowered employees whose input is valued, is essential when developing your human capital and strengthening your workforce. During this interactive session, participants will learn the Human Performance Improvement fundamentals that are reshaping the future workplace.

Grounds Management Budgeting

George Bernardon

Budgeting is not only a senior management obligation, but also an essential skill and responsibility of the supervising grounds manager. Dealer/Retailer Track

(presented by Bob Clements International)

Maximize Your Cash Flow

Bob Clements

One of the most precious resources you have in your dealership is the cash that flows in and out every day. While each dealer has some control over what flows out, every dealer has total control of what flows in. Join Bob Clements as he shares from his new book, You’re the Problem (and the Solution!), proven techniques that any dealership can use, regardless of size, to maximize their profitability and cash flow in service, parts and sales.

Improving Employee Performance

Bob Clements

Regardless of the size of your dealership, your payroll is one of your largest monthly expenses. Your goal as a dealer is to make sure that what you are spending on payroll is giving you the return on investment you should expect from your people. Bob Clements will share from his new book, You’re the Problem (and the Solution!), a simple tool owners and managers can use to evaluate the effectiveness of their people and demonstrate effective ways to improve employee performance.

You’re the Problem (And The Solution!): Seven Proven Habits to Help You Reclaim Your Sanity, Your Life, and Your Dealership

Sara Hey

Have you ever wondered why some dealers are on a never-ending bumper car ride, where the only thing that was ever produced was minor whiplash, and why others succeed despite it seeming like everything is stacked against them? Sara Hey will walk you through the seven habits that set the dealers who are constantly successful apart from those who can never get ahead. She will share stories of dealers who exhibit these characteristics and share how you can reclaim your sanity, your life and your dealership.

Reclaiming Your Sanity and Your Time

Sara Hey

If you could have one superpower, what would it be? If you’re like most dealers, it would be the ability to stop time and have more of it. There just never seems to be enough time in a dealership. Sara Hey will walk through habits from her new book, You’re the Problem (and the Solution!), to help you move from being a reactive manager of your time in each department to a proactive time manager. She will also share about the one-hour challenge and give you specific and applicable ways to regain control of your service, parts and sales departments.
