SAFE Scholarships and Grants

Attention SFMA Members: The application deadline for the SAFE Scholarship and Grants program is October 15!

SFMA Members – SAFE has Money for your College Student!

If you have a college-bound child, SAFE offers up to two scholarships for students pursuing studies outside the sports field management industry at accredited colleges or universities.

The Darian Daily legacy scholarship honors the memory of Darian Daily, who was deeply committed to both his profession and his family before his untimely passing in August 2016.

In addition to the Darian Daily Scholarship, SAFE provides several other scholarships and grants:

SAFE Scholarships for Sports Field Management Students:

1. SAFE Scholarships: including Dr. James Watson Scholarships, sponsored by The Toro Company and the Dr. Fred Grau Scholarship. These are awarded to turfgrass students in graduate, four-year, and two-year programs, respectively.

2. Paul Zwaska Scholarship, Presented by Beacon Athletics, this scholarship supports diversity within the profession by offering annual scholarships to students from underrepresented groups in SFMA.
