2 Minute Tip to Success – Follow up by Employer is Critical

According to the Human Capital Institute,

  • “60% of job seekers report a negative candidate experience with the employers they engage.
  • “72% of job seekers report sharing their negative candidate experiences online.
  • “55% of job seekers report avoiding certain companies after reading negative online reviews.”

Those seeking a job are encouraged to follow up after an interview – thanking the interviewer and asking for the job. Equally important is an employer response. Always close the loop after receiving a resume and again after conducting an interview. Candidates deserve to know where you are in your search process. Leaving potential candidates hanging about your interest in them shows a lack of respect for their expertise. Impress then with your level of professionalism. Candidates often share information with their peers. Be sure the information that is shared about you and your facility is positive and you are considered an “employer of choice”.
