Congratulations to long time SFMA member Andrew McNitt, Ph.D. on his recent retirement. Dr. McNitt was the professor of soil science, director of the Center for Sports Surface Research and technical adviser to the National Football League (NFL). He retired from Penn State after a 40-year career in the College of Agricultural Sciences.
McNitt supported the SFMA in many different ways throughout his career. He provided education at conferences, served on committees, mentored other sports field managers and was awarded the Harry Gill Founders Award in 2014. We could not be more thankful to Dr. McNitt for everything he has done for SFMA and the sports field industry as a whole. Enjoy your retirement!
