New Learning formats in Phoenix

SFMA has adopted some new adult learning models for presenting field management and safety topics at our 30th Annual Conference and Exhibition, which is Jan. 22-25, 2019 in Phoenix.

  • Experiential storytelling (Wed., Jan. 23, 3:30-5 p.m.) – A moderated session that exclusively involves audience members who will present best practices, innovations, and horror stories to peers.
  • Dotmocracy (Fri., Jan. 25, 8-10 a.m.) – This session will brainstorm a variety of topics from industry problems to hot topics. Each topic will be taped to the wall and attendees will vote on the topics they wish to discuss during the session by putting a colored dot sticker on that topic. The highest rated topics will be addressed.
  • Meet the Experts (Wed., Jan. 23 during lunch, Thurs., Jan. 24 and Fri., Jan. 25 during the Trade Show) – Each day for 45 minutes members will have one-on-one access to academics to ask questions and get advice.
  • Ignite Sessions (Wed., Jan. 23, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. – New Trends and Technology for Sports Turf and Fri., Jan. 25, 8-10 a.m. – University Research Updates) – Each speaker has 5 minutes to present on a topic. The University Research segment will then break into round tables to further discuss.

Plan now to attend! Full registration is the same cost as 2018, $375. For more information go to SFMA.org.
