Penn State Extension will be offering pruning workshops at three locations in late March and early April.

The event is designed for landscapers, grounds managers, arborists, and county and municipal employees.
Participants will learn to:
Instructors will teach pruning theory, terminology and plant biology during the morning classroom session. In the afternoon, a hands-on outdoor session will apply pruning theory in the field. Organizers ask that attendees dress for the weather. Participants also should bring along pruning tools.
Continuing education units will be available from the International Society of Arboriculture. Participants also can earn Pennsylvania certified horticulturist credits.
Space is limited, so preregistration is required. Registration deadlines vary by location. The registration fee is $45 for the Dallas event and $80 for the workshops in Middletown and Newtown. The fee includes lunch and reference publications.
